Me and Simon were queing in ASDA gettin our lunch when the above announcement came over the tanoy!!! It is difficult to put into words how amazing it was. I think, the choice of words, the tone, and the sense of surprise made the whole thing so great. Obviously the timing
was impeccable. Everyone on the checkouts just stopped what they were
doing, looking slightly confused.
Humour is a big part of what made it so memorable, however it is not clear whether the Humour was confounded by the announcer. Although there was no doubt that the announcer was a genius both me and Simon agreed that the management would probably reprimand them.
The sad thing is, we will probably never here such an announcment again although we will wait in hope that one day such an Announcer (whom is Beyond art!!!) will jolt us out of this misierable existance in the perveyance of creamy comestibles.
